    John C. ★★★★★

Took it out of the box and the single wheel mechanism grinds so smoothly for a machine that's eighty years old. The wooden body has that nice worn patina you only get with real age, and it's way more solid than any modern grinder I've tried.

    Leo E. ★★★★★

Finally got around to using the single wheel this morning, and the grind consistency for my espresso is noticeably better than my modern budget grinder. The metal body feels incredibly solid, and it's actually quieter than I expected for a 1940s hand crank.

Picked up the #22 from Clayton—the packaging was perfect and it’s in stunning condition for a 1940s grinder. The single wheel mechanism works smoothly with zero wobble, and the first grind produced an even, consistent texture for my morning espresso.
