The cast iron body is incredibly sturdy, and the clear MFC badging is a nice historical touch. I mounted it on my counter and it grinds consistently, though you definitely get an arm workout. Feels like owning a real piece of coffee history.

The grinding mechanism on this 1890s piece is surprisingly smooth after all these years, and the bench mount keeps it perfectly stable during use. It took some elbow grease to clean off the old grime, but the clear MFC Philadelphia badging came through beautifully.
