Quick Answer
Choose the IMS Precision Filter Basket for a classic, even extraction in a 58mm portafilter, or the Pesado High Extraction Basket if you want a higher dose and more flavor from your Breville 54mm machine.
Size and Compatibility Differences
The IMS B70 2T H28.5 E is a standard 58mm basket designed for most commercial and prosumer portafilters. The Pesado He[%] basket is built specifically for Breville 54mm portafilters, so your machine choice largely determines which basket you can use.
If you own a Breville machine, the Pesado basket is a drop-in upgrade. For other brands, the IMS 58mm basket is the more universal option.
Dose and Extraction Style
The IMS basket is known for consistent, even extraction with a standard dose. The Pesado High Extraction basket is designed for an 18–20 g dose and aims to increase extraction yield, giving you more flavor from the same coffee.
If you prefer experimenting with higher doses and more intense shots, the Pesado basket offers that capability. For a reliable, balanced shot with a traditional dose, the IMS basket is a proven choice.
